Meet the Founder

I created Sunshine Counseling and Wellness as a holistic support system for the entire family.  As a trained mental health therapist, elementary school educator, and yoga/mindfulness teacher, I wanted to create a space to help the entire family grow, heal and find more connection in their relationships.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, teens, parents, and families. I specialize in women’s health, anxiety, parent/child relationships, family systems, postpartum care, infertility and PTSD.  I strive to meet clients where they are in each moment helping them find their inner strength to create more joy in their lives.

I am married and a mother of 2 children ages 13 and 8.  I know the struggles of infertility and the strain it puts on ourselves and our marriage. I also bring life experience of navigating relationships with those struggling with anxiety, depression and PTSD.  I have numerous trainings in somatic interventions, Somatic EMDR, couples therapy, family therapy, CBT and SPACE interventions.
